HighTech Women & Business...

Technology and Technology Related Sectors

What a wonderful evening of splendid networking - yes, it can be fun! Such fantastic women - bright, lively, talented & out there doing "it" whatever that may...

The proliferation of new businesses, and the growth of entrepreneurship, give rise to an increasing competition for capital, employees, and market and mind-share. Every company, in every sector, from start-up or early stage company through to mature companies, competes for resources and success with a great many other companies. Every company of any size must strive to be entrepreneurial in order to succeed in an increasing competitive marketplace. This competition begins with a compelling business strategy, proves itself in the venture's ability to execute such a strategy.

We hope this site will serve as an an ongoing forum - an opportunity for illustrating successes (and failures). Rather than case studies in a dry and academic sense, This is as an opportunity to present something that challenges all that we have thought in the past and looks to opportunities in the future, appealing to both for the curious casual observer and the avid student of business, history, and the new economy.

Share your know-how

It is time to get out there and share your know-how.

The object of HighTech Women is meeting and mentoring. It's a forum for sharing your experience and expertise. In the coming months we look forward to hearing from you and having you share your business advice, "lessons learned" and give us a sense of how you feel the markets are changing and where we are all going in technology and technology related sectors.

Articles on HighTech Women's site right now include:

Pool of Directors

Many of you are starting and running new companies and many of you have already started and run companies with great success. Since we know that building a good board of directors with experienced and knowledgeable non-executive directors is key to the success of new companies, and that it can be rather difficult to put such a board together, HighTech Women is creating a Pool of Directors. We continue to grow the Pool of Directors to such a size that members of HighTech Women can access the types of people who will most benefit their companies.

If you or someone you know would be interested in joining the HighTech Women Pool of Directors, we'd love to hear from you. If you are registered member, please send us an email with a brief description of your background and areas of expertise at information@hightech-women.com. If you are not a registered member, please go to the registration page and make a note of your interest in joining the Pool of Directors, again with some details on your areas of expertise, in the "other comments" section when you register.

Also, if you would like to nominate someone else, please don't hesitate to do so and we'll get in touch with them.

Partners and Sponsors

We've been approached about partnering with them and we love that idea. We like the idea of supporting the members of the 2000+ community in their efforts and bring the best information and services to members of HighTech Women. If your company, be it a start-up or a well established company, would like to partner with us, please don't hesitate to be in touch. We are looking for all kinds of partners, and happy to chat about ways we can work together. Email us at information@hightech-women.com.Also, if you'd like to link to our site, please feel free to do so and let us know so we can reciprocate...
